Single Family Owner Occupied Rehabilitation Loan Program

Is your home suffering from any of the following?

  • Leaking roof
  • Electrical problems
  • Plumbing problems
  • Heating problems
  • Exterior siding
  • Foundation troubles
  • Sagging floors
  • Overcrowding
  • Code violations
  • Handicap access

These some of the projects that SECED may be able to provide financing for through our home rehab program.

For homeowners living in the Baca, Kiowa and Prowers County areas, Southeast Colorado Enterprise Development (SECED) has a low interest loan program available.

Defective wiring, broken plumbing, crumbling foundations, a leaking roof, and faulty heating systems can be a hazard to you and your family. Making these repairs can be costly, but for the safety and comfort of your family they may need to be done. In addition, these repairs could help improve the value of your home!

Once an application is completed and it is determined that the applicant(s) qualify for the program, SECED will conduct an inspection of the home to assess the needed repairs. A cost estimate will be developed to determine the qualifying repairs.

The loan application then goes to the loan committee for approval. Upon approval, the application is ready for board approval. Once board approval is granted, a loan closing is held. The applicant(s) may then proceed with their home rehabilitation project.

This is an Equal Opportunity Program and does not discriminate against race, color, religion, sex, handicap or national origin.
